The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made public the withdrawal of the results of another 13 candidates who were alleged to have been involved in examination malpractices during the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a statement, JAMB said that the decision was made after careful consideration and approval of the recommendations of the investigators by the board’s management at a meeting held on Tuesday, 27th July 2021.
Fabian Benjamin, the head of public affairs and protocol, signed this statement. He noted that 14,620 other candidates who were under investigation previously have been cleared and released.
The names of the 13 candidates whose results were withdrawn according to JAMB are; Gabriel Micheal, Lawson Ruth Joy, Sadiq Mahbub Auwal, Tambaya Yahaya, Anowa Anointing, Ogbonna Joseph Dibia, and Ani Maryrose AdaLoki (Loik Ayomiposi Precious).
Others according to the statement are; Ekeocha Chinecherem Michael, Oluwarotimi Toluwanimi Ayanfeoluwa, Edu Teslim Abiola, Simon Friday Promise, and Onyeama Odi.
There was no comment or insight into the case of the alleged candidate Attama Lawrence Ikedichukwu in this announcement.
